anyone here like to read some of his books or watch some of his movies/tv series. i have read Dreamcatcher which was an awesome book, but they really made a crappy movie out of it. i started another one of his books called Black House which sounds pretty good. i've seen his movie Rose Red, i've seen it a few times and still have no idea what its about and it seems like that is pretty normal for movies based off his books. i also watched one of his tv series called Kingdom Hospital and i think it aired on ABC or something and that was a pretty crazy show, a lot of his work is definately twisted. i also saw a movie preview for a movie based off another book of his called 1408 and that one looked REALLY good, will probably have to see that one. anyways, anyone watched his movies or shows or read his books?

Black House
Stop reading "Black House" and find a copy of "The Talisman" to read first! GREAT books and the Talisman is the beginning. I had that book for years (I collect King books) and couldn't bring myself to read it because it was different than his other books. After reading some of the Dark Tower series, I finally read "Talisman" and those two books are now favorites. What I really like about King's writing is he writes about the strangest and most impossible things...but you end up believing it. (Can you tell I'm a big fan?)

i like his style of writing because the language he uses is so different than a lot of other authors. he ideas are also so far out there and sometimes confusing if you miss or dont pick up on a couple of things. i havent read many of his books yet, but Dreamcatcher will likely be one of my favorite books for quite a few years simply because the language that he uses is so descriptive that it puts an image in your head without even really having to think about it.

I also liked the Bachman books. I told my mama that he "was almost as good as King"!

i love all of his books. they reach that little place in the back of your psyche where you really werent aware of certain fears. Hec, after I read Cell, I didnt touch my cell phone for a week. seriously.
Needful Things, Bag of Bones, Lisey's Story, The Shining, goodness, what great literature! And it isnt his fault that people cant write screenplays worth a hoot when trying to convey his thought to the silver screen.....
