my brother put his name and phone number on a $10 bill he used to tip the waitress. She called him a few days afterwards. I don't the seriousness between those two, but I they've been known to have LONG conversations on the phone.

Here's another way...watch her body language...that's usually a dead giveaway. If she smiles moreso to you than others...that's another. Just be patient and watch what her behavior is around you.

I actually have a follow up....

When I talk to this one girl online, it seems that we could litterally talk for hours. Sometimes, when we're on a subject, she will tell me something that I don't think she would even tell her closest friends(unless it was like, brought up at a sleepover.), and i've told her alot of things I could never say to her face. Anyway, I liked her last year(we always talked in 7th hour, we were the only 2 smart ones. ) and this year as well, but she liked someone else. To make matters even more interesting, she liked me last year like I did her this year.

My question, if you tell someone online stuff you probably wouldn't even dare to tell em face to face, is that a sign that they like you?

Thanks. ;)

Beware of the fatal "You're nice, but I just want to be friends."

In my day I heard that more than once. Maybe I mis-interpreted the signals, but hearing that is worse than a rejection from the outset.

Maybe I should have been a cop......in Tenessee.....

Well, I wish I could give some good input here, alas, but I cannot really. It's either because I haven't actually done it or I am completely oblivious to it when it is happening. I have spoken to girls who have seemed interested in what I have to say, but I don't know if it really counts. I did manage to get a hug once, but I have no idea what to make of that. I'm hopeless . I don't even know if I am failing miserably!

Ed, I've heard this so many times that I would physically grow sick of hearing it ... I know all too well of what you talk about here, and usually, it's the nicest way of being blown off ...

I guess it would depend on you're carrying a "concealed weapon"...

good thread, very informative! i've always been dumb as a box of rocks when it comes to picking up signals. kind of sleeping while fishing, probably missed quite a few good catches... p
