Update From POJO

#1 Postby azskyman » Sun Dec 04, 2005 8:00 am

Here's a little update from Shannon...

Hello all.

Time here is getting shorter… only approximately 5 weeks left. If you send presents, remember, I have to figure out a way to pack it!

Business is starting to pick up… Missions are dropping like flies… January is packed with troop missions… there are only a few empty days in January (ie no troop planes), however, that may change… we have missions appearing every day. December isn’t that bad… we have several missions next week and then a lull.

I see the Packers were real productive this year… we are competing for the first draft pick… with Houston and San Francisco.

As for holiday presents… we have plenty of food to boot… we definitely are not starving here in the desert. I work out pretty much everyday to burn off that holiday snacking!

Temperatures are getting colder… highs are low 80’s… nights sit around 65*. Some nights drop into the 50’s. We’ve had plenty of foggy mornings with zero visibility.

Enjoy the cold… and save some snow for me!

I'm glad that she's not there in the middle of the summer. That would be brutal!

I'm sure that the troop planes/missions make the days go by faster for them. She sounds good and I do hope that she does get to come home in 5 weeks and it's not extended.
