Now, THAT'S desert!!!

According to Esquire's Restaurant Awards for 2005:
Most Expensive Dessert The chocolate-hazelnut brownie topped with gold and served with a 1996 Quinta do Noval Nacional port in a Baccarat crystal atomizer: $1,000 at Brûlèe at the Quarter at the Tropicana, Atlantic City.

That's me!!

Incredible and shameful at the same time, isn't it?

The day that I have the money to spend $1000 on a desert will be the day I am dead.

It better taste like and feel like heaven for that price. I sure would like to see a picture of that if there is one. That is just insane, sad part is I am sure they sell a few of those, to people who have money to burn.

I stopped eating desert long ago. Far too gritty for my tastes, although the Saharan had a nice bouquet to it.

In my experience, "dessert" means two cookies between coffee and cigarettes after dinner.

Yeah, uh, most normal people eat dessert, not desert.

Sounds good though, regardless.

I'm the one that spelled "desert" instead of "dessert", so don't worry about it!! I'm not normal though...

I've heard of other "desserts" that have had gold dust on them, though I can't think of an example right now.
