Tim McGraw tours St. Bernard, announces plan for hurricane aid

Louisiana native and country singer Tim McGraw called on people from across the nation to reach out and help those affected by the disaster.

McGraw said that he and wife Faith Hill, along with other entertainers like Paul McCartney and Elton John would provide exclusive content to Amazon.com and that they would seek donations for access to the material.

McGraw said a special song he wrote called “Louisiana” is one of the first exclusive items on the site.

McGraw, who is a Louisiana native, said it is important that the nation realize the crisis in the area continues.

He said some people want to stick their head in the sand and act as if everything is alright down here, but, he said, “It’s not alright.”
