Charlie Daniels Band

#1 Postby myred » Mon Oct 03, 2005 8:04 am

The Charlie Daniels band came to our little town last night and put on a great show. The man is 68 years old. 69 in a few weeks and what a showman he still is. He did a benefit concert for the local VETS. I really enjoyed the show and I am a fan of rock music, not country.

You guys get a lot of good shows over there! I need to start looking into that venue.

I wouldn't call Charlie Daniels "country" He was more of the wave of "southern rock" that swept the country in the 1970's. I grew up on that stuff.

I LOVE Charlie Daniels!! I've been to at least 10 concerts, and had the VERY great pleasure of meeting the man in person twice! He was awesome..... and Grim doesn't use the term "awesome" lightly ('cause I hate sounding like a 12 yr old)

If you wanted to sound like the 12 year olds around here, everything would be "sweeeeeeeet". My son has a friend who uses that word constantly - I have to send him home when it gets on my nerves

The AZ mountians have rednecks? SWEEEEEEEET! I am 44 going on 13. I don't consider myself a redneck, but I did live in florida for 20 years. Moved down there in 79 and came back up here in 99. I also agree that CDB is the wave of southern rock. Maybe thats why I enjoyed seeing them so much. Reminded me of the good ole boys days. hehe

I love southern rock and roll
