Bad way to start my day!

I was warned.. But didn't listen so I learned the hard way lol..

I have always been told.. "Don't take the 9am #10 bus because the bus at 9 always has a history of being ridiculously late".

Well.. I learned that lesson.. I took the 9am #10 bus {supposed to be in at work.. by 10} and I knew I wasn't going to make it to the college on time for my connecting bus..

WELL.. Just as I get off the bus on the side street, my connecting bus PASSED. So I ran over here to the college, to call Wal Mart and let them know I was gonna be late..

The phone operator put me on hold.. and then as she was connecting me to a manager, THEY HUNG UP ON ME!

Which now means.. odds are.. I'm gonna be marked as a no call/no show and then have to explain myself when I get to work in a little while.. {I'm here at the college waiting for the 10:30 bus that goes past my Wal mart}

Not a good start to my day at all!

Well, John look on the bright side....

You could be in Houston, stuck on I 45 Northbound. And run out of gas. Or be stuck on that tragic bus fire.

It could always be worse. So you're late to work today, they'll hopefully understand. And if not, point out wx in your area could always be worse and everyone at Wal-Mart should all count your blessings today. That might shut your boss up.

I've been through situations with some buses myself.

Its' not the end of the world.. My boss actually just said.. "It's ok.. we're all late every once in a while.. don't worry"

Glad to hear that your day went well inspite of the bus fiasco!

Also, is there a #10 at 8:30 am?

Actually yes there is 1 at 8:30 Eric.. so from now on.. I have decided.. If I ever have to go in @ 10 again.. I'm gonna catch the 8:30 bus.. then wait at the college for the connecting bus..

I'm not gonna run the risk of being late again..
