Where do I think they will go to? Let's see, the 9th Ward, New Orleans East. What makes you think you are so exempt? Renovate all you want. I was in the Irish Channel recently in one of those expensive homes. Come sundown, it was like the old west. People run for cover. Bottom line is until they do something about Compass crime in New Orleans will continue to run rampant.

Did you read the report a little over a month ago that said New Orleans (city proper) has the fastest growing per capita income out of every incorporated city in the United States? The phenomena I speak of with the renovation and dynamics of the city changing is a direct correlation with this statistics. Some scratch their head as to how New Orleans could have this statistic, but, many in the business community aren't surprised one bit....

We're still a decade away from a very noticeable change...but, it's coming and the phenomena is accelerating every day. We had over 60,000 abandoned homes in New Orleans in 1990. It takes some time to bring those back into commerce and replace, as well, many that are inhabited by the poor and renovating them, as well...

I would love nothing more than to see New Orleans come back, Sean. I have lived here all of my life. But again, until they do something about Eddie Compass, people are not going to be safe. Not completely. And no, you may not be singled out as a victim, but all it takes is to be in the wrong place at the wrong time...

I know you're not anti-New Orleans. And it gripes my butt every day with the crime we have amongst our poor. But, they really are being dispersed from their areas and they are moving to Jefferson Parish. Some are going to NO East, but, even that is a little high for many that are being forced to relocate. They are moving to apartments on the Westbank and Marrero...

Oh, no doubt they are moving over here. But ole Harry was all over the few incidences we had over here. I live in Gretna, and Gretna PD has a rep of being arseholes. Well let me tell you, give me my arseholes because I know they will be right here on a dime. So what is happening, the majority of crime is still taking place in metrolpolian New Orleans. You cannot deny that. Everyday on the news you hear of at least two murders everynight.
I will also add this. The people sitting over here on the Westbank in English Turn, Barkley Estates, Stone Bridge, Timberlane, in their 400 and 500 thousand dollars homes are going to make sure that Harry stays on the ball. Again, Eddie Compass needs to take a page from Harry's book rather than talk about bringing in Louis Farrakhan and the Nation of Islam for police sensitivity training.

Well, English Turn is in Orleans Parish, but, I'm sure they are rooting for Harry Lee. I love the Westbank. My grandmother lives on Kabel Drive in Algiers. I live Uptown and love to do my shopping on Manhatten Blvd..it's so easy to get there from here. All I'm saying is, with these people moving over there, everyone over there needs to seize the moment now and make a statement by showing them NO CRIME on the Westbank. I wish everyone on the Westbank the best. But, many are relocating over there, as I said, and we're watching a different New Orleans appear. Anyway, nice chatting with you, I'm going to watch a movie on HBO...
