I honestly don't know. Could go anywhere at this point. I'm leaning towards VERY close to Tampa or a little north of there.

Nice visible loop of Charley!

Here it is!

Did notice an outflow boundary on the west side and to the far North west it looks like you can see the expanding shield of cirrus clouds coming from Bonnie!

Charlie looks right to me.
I keep reading it as Charlene.

I keep hearing this bit about missing the trough- what are the actual chances of that?
It is possible . I think what Bonnie does has a large impact on Charley. The forecast track just seems too simple using the trough to pick up everything. If Bonnie strengthens that would help erode the southern part of the trough and allow the eastern ridge to build west as Bonnie moves NE.

I find it interesting how it rides up the coast taking a quick hop over the atlantic again before returning over land... Never followed a storm with quite this type of possible track before..should be a learning exp. to say the least.

Perhaps it is an eye wall in its early development stages. Charley could become a hurricane at anytime today now. Scary.

not that I know anything..but it looks that way to me...and it also looks like it's still moving nearly due west...maybe slightly north of due west..

Yes, Cycloneye. That's possibly the beginnings of an eye and yes that's the center of the storm. As you can probably tell, it's farther south than what was anticipated earlier.

If you have that thing becoming a clear eye later today, you can expect MAJOR intensification to the point that a major hurricane south of Cuba is a REAL possibility.

This could become as I said a while back a HISTORIC storm...
