Here on the MS Coast local WLOX weather lady showed map with Hurricane Frances trac with Florida almost not even in the picture and said "Some good news, looks like Frances will head back off to the north". Never have they had the state of Florida so "off" the map that you couldn't tell what was what. Are the Professional Mets getting different info than the ones on this board?

What? Somebody is making something up there...not getting that information from any official soure I can assure you.

Fl is clearly under the gun...MS may be ok based on some of the latest guidance...but it is way too soon to call that.

I figured, when Georges was coming into Pascagoula they were saying its going into the mouth of the Mississippi River continually until they realized that it was already on land in Pascagoula/Ocean Springs. There local office in Pascagoula got hit by a Tornado at 4:00pm and they were still insisting that it wasn't going to bother us. Sometimes I wonder......

Well...there are a couple of problems...

1. The hurricane has been moving due west for about 3 hours now. That is not a good thing for our friends in puerto rico and the USVI.

2. Well...this implies a somewhat heightened threat to South Florida.

LOL...they initialized the models at 300/8...you are on crack...like the NOGAPS model...if you think the last 3 hours of motion are at 300. Try 275/280:
