dry conditions in Florida

#1 Postby wxwonder12 » Sun May 20, 2007 7:32 am

Not to long ago someone from the NHC wrote an article regarding the corrilation between a dry May in South Florida and hurricane land falls. I don't remember his name but I remember he based his retirement on it. We are now in a drought and haven't had considerable rain in S Florida at all lately. Can this pattern allow for someone to think Florida may have a higher chance of 2007 landfalling storms or is this drought being caused by something other then what the article that was written was refering to??

It was discussed in Talkin' Tropics. It's a good topic to read and has some interesting links.
