It is that time of year, and a semi-detailed definition and explanation of trowals, baroclinic leafs and CSI would be much appreciated.

I can't be the only one interested, and while I have, via search engines on the world wide internet, have at least an idea what CSI is, the other stuff gets mentioned in winter storm discussions, and fly straight over my head.
