Rain Gauge question

#1 Postby Taffy » Mon Jun 09, 2008 10:12 am

I homeschool my boys. I want to combine science and math. I figured a rain gauge would cover both areas. So, I want to know what type of rain gauge to get. I see that they come in different sizes and widths. Some have large mouths and some have small mouths. Which is the better, more accurate one?
Thanks,
Taffy in Southwest Florida

I also homeschooled, I got my rain guage from the NWS when I became a coop observer. This is the one we found was the most useful.

There are also some great sites for making your own odometer, barometer, etc...have fun!!
