Site problems

#1 Postby mf_dolphin » Wed Jun 11, 2003 9:16 am

I'm sure many of you have noticed extremely slow response times and inablility to access the site on occasion. These problems are due to another site on the same server as well as a general server problem that they can't seem to get resolved. I requested that our site be moved to a new server and that should happen today. When they move the site it will be down for approximately 1 hours. Sorry for the inconvience but we have to get the site on a better server. :-)

Thanks for your patience!

Sounds good. This means that our ISP's have to update their DNS information too, right?

That's what takes 12-24 hours. The ISP servicing the domain makes the first change and then it is proagated throughtout the internet. This can take up to 24 hours. As soon as our host makes the change I should get a new IP address which will allow access until the DNS change makes it's way around.
