Normally, Blackfeet Indians, Al Red Fox and Darryl Vee-al, use their tracking skills to hunt big game on their Montana reservation.
Now they are in North Texas, helping FEMA track down hard-to-find hurricane evacuees.
Many, like Yolanda Ayala are so busy finding jobs and starting over, they've missed hooking up to the extra help available.
The Blackfeet are available, because unemployment runs over 70% back home.
For centuries, they've survived by helping each others. It gives them an instant bond with hurricane survivors.
"Our tribe, our people, we say we got a big heart, we are willing to help out in any way we can," said Vee-al.
FEMA officials are so pleased, they've brought in 54 Blackfeet, to cover most of Texas.
Next, it's on to El Paso, and Amarillo, spreading the lesson of their elders - bringing help wherever it's needed.
