BACK ON-LINE FROM SE LA.

#1 Postby gk1 » Sat Sep 03, 2005 11:17 am

Glad to be back. What a horror here in the New Orleans Area. I have had no communication with any news. Some questions: What did Katrina strike as--4 or 5??? Guess it does not matter. This area is totally in shock!!!! Where I live, we had gusts into the 80-90 mph range but it was much worst the further east you go!!!! I really hope that everyone will help us recover!!!

She was technically a 4 when she hit (I think the official landfal in Buras?, LA was with 145 mph winds).

But the storm surge was very bad and then the flooding in NOLA was just insult to injury.

Glad to see you are back and safe. I don't suppose you know anything about Houma or live near there, do you?
