This is no longer tropical (as if it ever was) so why is this still in the active tropical forums?

we usually keep the thread with impacts & reports for several days after a storm. First and foremost it is to let those being affacted know that we care. The effects usually go on for several days after a storm, so we want to be able to get out what news we have and recieve all the reports we can so everyone knows the impacts. And we like for those that are affected to let us know that they are ok.

That's really sweet Artist.
But whenever I have been blasted by the eye of the storm it really didn't matter!
I was out of touch and could not communicate no matter how hard I tried.
So I don't know who you are trying to serve by continuing this thread in the Active Storms designation.
Once again...this is no longer tropical.

We should feel the effects later tonight and definitely tomorrow. This system is still hundreds of miles away and appears to be creating another "Hurricane Floyd" scenario with the rain it's producing in Eastern North Carolina......Wilmington is showing up to 15 inches of rain so far, as well as some other areas such in Eastern NC.........flood warning up in several counties in Eastern NC right now.
