Use of Craigslist New Orleans Volunteers

#1 Postby Beau » Sat Sep 03, 2005 12:53 pm

Hundreds of people from all over the country are acting as true good Samaritans and offering rooms and even homes and jobs free for the Katrina evacuees. Hopefully someone in the Red Cross or FEMA is working on getting computer connections in the Astrodome so those who want to can get in touch with these angels who offer immediate help.

I believe they already have several broadband connections and computers set-up, as well as free cell phones provided by SBC.

This is a new website/nonprofit formed this week. Looks like a neat idea.
