5:30am Tropical Update for Friday, 8/08/03

The 5:30AM CDT update is located at http://storm2k.org/Weather-Central/Trop ... ropics.htm with an associated map. Check it out along with the CONUS updates.

Looks like a monster coming off the African coast later today. Will either of the current identifiable tropical waves in the E Atlantic develop or will dry air win the battle?

thanks, unfortunately that 2nd wave is coming off too far south, indicating it will not break up the euro heat ridge.
