Tropics speculation
Well since it is relatively quiet ( besides 90L) I decided to speculate, which is dangerous thing for me :). Anyways, my speculation is that with the strong trof setting up from the Gulf up along the East coast at this time of the year and the trof not looking like it will overpower the Ridge perhaps we get a trof split and maybe some home grown action in the Gulf?. That ULL in the W GOM is already inland over N Mexico. Not much doing in the GOM right now.
There is always a possibility that something coming SE along the jet may slip into the GOM and have a chance, but I sure wouldn't hold my breath.
