Uh oh ... look just behind 90L and tell me what you see...

This is the general tropical discussion area. Anyone can take their shot at predicting a storms path.

Anybody noticing low clouds moving NE BEHIND the large area of recent blow-up convection?

I see that too, but what does it mean? Besides the fact that 90L is still very disorganized...

Looks like it may be trying to wrap up to me. The last few frames seem to show a rotation developing again

What we have here is a very poorly stacked invest ...

The broad area of low pressure doesn't coincide where the latest blow-up of convection is currently ... and we'll need to wait another day or two before anything "pops" so to speak..

Notice the area of convection SE of 90L ... notice the NW blowoff of the higher clouds --- we have SE'ly shear right now.

I think 90L could look a lot worse, it could look better. From time to time we see this happen with tropical waves and tropical lows.

We just entered August, after the typical quiet June and July... (not so much so this year). There should be something developing soon enough in the Atlantic Basin.

Ok, out on a limb time AGAIN! This was not there earlier! There is a definite attempt to wind up going on and the LLCC or Mid-level center is easily found SE of the convection. Definitely not stacked for development, but none the less the structure is there. I looked hard earlier, zooming in and everything and could not find it! Good call SF. It is defintiely a wait and see time, but the structure is still there. Oh what a season this is going to be!!! I may be bald several times before this is over and it doesn't run in my family!!!
