John and Kristy about to dance? Fujiwhara style

#1 Postby Stormsfury » Wed Aug 30, 2006 1:09 pm

Been a while since this has occurred in the EPAC ... (first it being active since basically 1997), and second, the beginnings of what appears to be the beginnings of a fujiwhara effect...

Well, you can see that Kristy moved a little bit farther east. Did you see the eye-like feature of Kristy on the last picture of the loop?

Interesting... I always love the Fujiwhara. How would the dance effect the tracks of John and Kristy?

If there was a Fujiwara, wouldn't Kristy start moving backward and get sucked into John.

No, Kristy would orbit around John.

Sure did ... Kristy likely to be a hurricane soon while it still has warm EPAC waters to work with.

Yes, Kristy is most likely rapidly strengthening with the quick wrapping of the convection.

They won't dance until John gets closer to Kristy which may take a while.
