wow! I think it is insane they are closing schools in ORANGE AND SEMINOLE counties, as well as many other inland central FL counties because of this. I mean I can understand big time storms like Charley, Frances and Jeanne causing them to close...but ERNESTO? I just don't understand how in 2001 they did not close during Hurricane Gabrielle, but for this weaker TS they will. Doesn't make sense.
Hope they enjoy their day off, because when they have to make it up later (for a storm that will likely be un-eventful in Orlando), the students will probably not be too happy.
