Steering setup off the eastern U.S. coast?

#1 Postby Pebbles » Mon Aug 28, 2006 12:04 pm

Any of our more experienced weather hobbyist/ pro mets want to discuss the setup off the east coast in regards to steering currents? Graphics a plus. Just would like to get an idea if this thing does miss FL is there ANY possibly of it become a fish? Or is that totally out of the question?

I am wondering if this thing will strengthen after FL and if will ride up the coast and become a threat to NE this weekend.

I know it's not tecnically a fish Destruction but was a fast way of saying not hitting the US coast at all. Was hoping peeps got the general idea of what I was saying.

I think i seen in another Thread that it would be blocked by the Trough if it tried to go out to Sea, so it looks unlikely....but only going by what i read, Pebbles...someone said in teamspeak, they think it will do a loop de loop type thing like Jeanne from 2004

Thanks Duffy. I happen to think it looks likely now that it will miss FL. I do believe it's going to ride up the coast. Honestly was hoping I had missed something in my observations cause I am not particularly liking what I'm seeing.

Well, let's not wish-cast it directly into your "old" town! lol

I thought with wish-casting you wanted it to hit somewhere.. I don't want it to hit anywhere (it's hit enough already don't ya think)! Unfortunately nothing I think or feel would make a dang bit of difference. Yes, I still have interest in New Bern though. My parents live there :P

*puffs and blows in vain trying to get the storm to head out to sea*

Nah, I knew you weren't wish-casting........but the respected pro mets think if it misses FL, we could have a problem in the Carolinas. They seem to be pretty convinced that it won't continue to head east out to sea. I think we were very lucky last year, hope the luck holds out for this one too!
