Watches/warnings for west coast?

#1 Postby Josephine96 » Sun Aug 27, 2006 11:05 pm

Just wondering when you guys think TS or hurricane advisories will be issued for Fla's west coast?

I'm thinking either @ 5 or 11 am Monday.

I'm also thinking they'll go from maybe the Tampa Bay area down to Punta Gorda or so..

East coast before West Coast if they don't do them at the same time.

some interesting track changes could be in store at 5AM. The new GFS has shifted right again so now South Florida could see some warnings/watches ..... still up in the air.

Our local met, Bryan Norcross, was saying that most likely the Keys will start feeling some of the TS winds by Tuesday, so that would mean mainland late Tues/Wed, depending on speed.....watches would have to go up by tomorrow morning, 11am, at the latest I would think. Honestly, I wouldn't be surprised to see them up at 5am.
