Port O'Connor radio report - home damage

#1 Postby GalvestonDuck » Tue Jul 15, 2003 10:12 am

On Houston's KTRH 73 AM, news anchors JD Pritchard and Lana Hughes were talking to Tracy (didn't get last name), one of their reporters. They have been talking off and on to all their reporters, getting an idea of conditions in various areas. When they went to Tracy, she reported that a beach house, out where she was stationed, was being pummelled by waves up to the second-story window. She said a couple of windows had been broken already. As she was relaying the preliminary info, she also reported (as it happened) that siding was coming off the house and that insulation was visible. Then about 10 mins later, when they checked back with her again, she said she was afraid the house was not going to make it. The wind was howling through her mic and it sounded like it was horrible there. She also said that she didn't know if anyone was inside or if they had evacuated.

I pray that they did.
