1-45 causeway closing??? Need info, please

#1 Postby GalvestonDuck » Tue Jul 15, 2003 8:49 am

I can't find the info on the net...nothing's listed yet. But someone heard that they were closing the causeway. All I heard on the radio was that it was impassable and that they didn't want anyone to drive. Also heard that the worst will be around 12:00. I have a couple of coworkers from Texas City who are worried. One left her kids home alone and the other one is her ride. So they want to leave and go be with the kids. (Not gonna editorialize on that, but you know.... ). Should have brought them here.

We still have to work...for now. So I'm going to try to stay off the net as much as possible and be productive. If someone hears or knows anything about the causeway being closed, please email me at smgoodle@utmb.edu.

I'd appreciate it!

Thanks!

Apparently it's not closed. Someone misheard something.

I'm sure that it is possible that it still may close.

As for leaving the children at home...
