Somebody please tell Accu-Weather..........

that it is WESTERN Africa not "eastern Africa"! Thats two days in a row they've called western Africa eastern Africa!

"We are also tracking tropical waves along 76 west and along 87 west. Both waves are interacting with hostile upper-level winds and development of either wave looks unlikely for at least the next couple of days. Satellite images show a large swirl of thunderstorms over eastern Africa which should become our next tropical wave within the next 24 hours."

This link shows a lot of convection over Eastern Africa; which I think is your point.

However the quote says the next wave in 24 hours which can't possibly be referring to Eastern Africa but to the area near the coast of WESTERN Africa.

Unless I miss understand what your link is supposed to be showing since all you said was "uh...".

Eastern Africa is suffering terrible flooding (the "Horn").

Also the Upper Texas Coast region is in Southeast Texas - it's not "North Texas". The region called "North Texas" is centered on the DFW metroplex - well inland from the coast.
