Hello Katrina fright... and so the forecasted media frenzy ensues.

Still too far out to make a reliable guess, but it looks like that station does not want to miss a step... LOL :ggreen:

Well let the hype begin! Look what happened to Chris. This one actually may become a big player in the gulf, but still it's got a lot of time. I'd start worrying AFTER the weekend. That will give you a few days to see where he is going, cause right now it can be anywhere.

yep, there must be some shortwave trough that is going to come down early next week and/or the ridge has a weakness that the models didn't see earlier - we need to see if they are consistent though

I expect them to shift all weekend. That's why it is too early to even worry. You'll drive yourself nuts by time the storm misses you by a hundred miles..... see Hurricane Rita.

True you are right but I think its pretty fair to say the US has a decent chance of getting hit, still early but the chances of it going west and missing the US are going down by the minute.

Yeah but you can't tell me at this point or even by sat night where this storm is going.... that's why I'd tame down the hype.... but the media is going to tear this up..... simply because by this time last year we were already to "K"atrina and right now we've only gotten to "D"ebbey.

No but I am seeing the hype. Like Josh said if they are saying a Hurricane is coming to Texas that is more than irresponsible.

She's a cutie, all right. Too bad he can't follow her, and even if he tried, there's still land in his way.
