MJO maddison julion oscillation is strong in the atlantic

#1 Postby willjnewton » Wed Aug 23, 2006 3:58 pm

update people or the experts should NOT downgrade there Forecast numbers and there is NOT going to be a El nino for this year..one reason why is because as of right now updated the 22nd of august the MJO wet phase is strong as a monster in the atlantic, so this 2006 storm season is going to get more active rapidly I mean rapidly..so NO worries you all, as I live down south..Enjoying myself

Ok...now you're making me wonder about you. If you think it's not looking good on satellite, you're against just about every pro met in the country and the NHC. Did you read the NHC's outlook? TD or TS development possible in the next 1 - 2 days.

Well the NHC and just about everyone disagrees with you. How long have you been looking at tropical systems?

I don't think it looks so great right now. But I do think it has a good chance of developing with so much deep convenction.

I have been looking at tropical systems for three whole years total constently and I just have a feeling that 97L will dissapate, but DO NOT worry you all the tropical atlantic is going to get very active rapidly as the mjo wet phase is underway. :bday: :bday:

Will, the 6-page MJO thread is 12 lines down from the top of this page.

At the very top of every page, in "NEW Rules and Guidelines for EVERYONE.." it says
This forum moves very fast when a system is out there and it is very important that you read over the first page of Threads to make sure the subject is not already in discussion.

You should try and check to see if someone has already got a thread going on the same topic before you create a new one.

Can you explain why you do not think it will develop? I find it odd how you are so positive about the tropics getting active rapidly, and then you shoot down a invest that has a high chance at forming.

have seen 97L and its NOT looking good at all on satelite imagery

It looks really good right now, Tropical Depression Hector looked like nothing compared to this one.

feeling that 97L will dissapate, but DO NOT worry you all the tropical atlantic is going to get very active rapidly as the mjo wet phase is underway.

Well, our gut feelings are vastly different from each other!

Will, you know who this is. Do you think 27 minutes (4:58 to 5:25) is enough time for the community to find, read, understand, think about, maybe research and think some more, then write and send a good post?

By the way the followup "demand" for an answer is a second post in one day, so I'll take the candy please, 3 musketeers.
