96L.INVEST ??

#1 Postby Ola » Mon Jul 14, 2003 9:55 am

There is a 96L.Invest for the atlantic basin on the NRL site but the image they are showing is from the eastern pasific, from 96E.INVEST. Is this an error alltogether or is it only the image that is wrong?

Yes Ola that is a wrong picture because that is for EPAC but that must be an error and soon they will relize the error. If there is an invest it well may be that wave at 27w.

Thats exactly what I thought. Maybe since it is on the eastern atl, they need to reposition the floater and it is still not zoomed in that area, so they didnt have an image and they put what was there. Just like with RAMSDIS, when you use a floater, if its just a storm that just started then halve the loop will be from the eastern pacific and the rest from the atlantic. Or maybe its just all a mistake, and there is no invest on the atl. We'll have to wait a few hours maybe to figure it out.
