Last year October was the busiest month with 6 storms.
Like it's common, I expect things to pick up by early to mid August, and September could be a very busy month. Let see what happens.
The good for those that like to track storms like us is that the best of the season is yet to come!!!
A possible example is 2001.

Just a thought (it's been a long day). Let's assume that the official forecast for this season verifies. Climotology tells us the longer it is BEFORE things really get started, the more likely those storms will have much more favorable conditions to work with. I believe the stage is being set for some very significant tropical activity starting soon as their are 10 hurricanes forecast with 6 of them majors. This forecast may be a bust, but I doubt it.
