Claudette's Center Appears! - Nice Image

I think we're getting down to one main center for Claudette now. It's visible because the convection has been blown off to the north. Not much indication of movement, but that high pressure should be building north of it tonight, pushing it west toward the lower TX coast.

I am pretty sure I remember surface lows developing under the convection of tropical cyclones, which tend to be north and east of the center.

There is no way this can happen with Claudette?

Yes it is clearly visible at the SW corner of the convection and now what is important is how far north it will go before it makes that expected hook to the west because I think that Brownsville will not be the landfall target as NHC says but a little north from there near Corpus Christi.

Brownsville

Brownsville is at 26N, so Claudette's center can move another degree or two north and still hit Brownsville (assuming a W-WSW movement in the NE low-level wind flow.
