Funny TWC quotes

#1 Postby Jim Cantore » Fri Jul 07, 2006 12:12 am

Hand them over, plenty of them I'm sure.

Carl Parker: Theres a good chance of strong storms late in the afternoon, other then that it looks like a beautiful day.

Mike Seidel: I'm glad I wasnt here when the tornado hit, I've been blown down enough streets this year.

Various people: (While standing in a Hurricane) It's very dangerous out here, You need to stay indoors!

Vivian Brown, when hurricane Gordan was near Florida in the late fall one year she said"We have a winter storm warning in affect for the Florida east coast".

Conditions are favorable for tropical development but we do not expect any tropical development.

For me, pretty much anything from Vivian Brown makes me wonder if the lights are on

And I used to always get a good laugh from George Elliot - not for being inaccurate (like Ms. Brown) - but just in his voice & delivery.

I like Cantores down to earth reporting style. Him and Madden are two of my favorites there.

Don’t they read off a teleprompter? So if anything unusual happens, it’s usually because they misread it or the guy writing the stuff into the teleprompter got confused.
