That is mid-level circulation. This is NOT a Tropical Storm forming.

I'd have to say it looks the best it has ever had. That is what the Gulf stream can do. You are seeing it first-hand right now. What a powerful current.

i might have to disagree with you winds around 30kts (35mph) sustain and gusts of 42 mph then that tells me if and when it looks a little better then the winds could pick up and form into TS.BERYL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Remember that low that hit TX in late May? That low produced sustained winds over 40mph and gusts to 53mph at Port Aransas, TX, yet it was never given a single advisory.

Just because it has high winds, that doesn't mean it is a TS.

You need a closed low-level circulation to have TD or TS. And this area doesn't have one yet. Not even close.

It does look interesting off the Fl. east coast compared to earlier this morning. The NW Carribean is also clicking with activity.

Could you explain why you think that? Remember "Quality over Quantity".

That system that hit texas was the cape system that formed last year in late june for this year. It was very close. Also the nhc said there self that there might be a low trying to close off. I can tell you with out quastion there is a MLC. Will it close off maybe but we will see.

Question, how are newbies supposed to know what 91L or 93L or invest means? When I first came here I had never even heard of those terms.
