Clearly shows a south westerly shear inhibiting the development of the western flank of Claudette. This was noticed last night by a cuuple of people in the chat and has not diminished this morning and is taking a toll on the storm. I not sure this shear is caused by the ULL to the west of Claudette or is climatological.

The upper level low is inhibiting further development of Tropical Storm Claudette. Beyond 24 hours the wind shear is expected to subside as the upper level low moves away of the tropical cyclone.
