Tropics are quiet around the world

It'a a rare thing to see no activity around the world as no invest is posted at NRL.However soon enough sonething will pop up somewhere.

Also to note is about the lack of activity at the Western Pacific basin as only one system has formed so far and it only reached TD status (TD 01w) although if I recall some who know more about that basin it's normal to have slow starts to the WPAC season.

It happened earlier in the year it would be even more rare to have 2 quiet periods in the year.

typically in a average Season the West Pacific only sees like 1 storm by now.

over the past decade most seasons have seen like 1-2 storms by now

Yeah, I always thought the WPAC usually doesn't start "waking up" until mid-April.

There are tropical lows in the central southern Indian Ocean, and southern Arafura Sea but that appears to be it. Neither are forecast for TC development in the next 3 days.

T-numbers are still being issued on 90S for some reason, but I can't find satellite imagery of it.

EDIT: I guess they're done with 90S, finally. They downgraded it to T1.0/1.5 after it was T1.5/1.5 for the last 18-24 hours or so.
