I know it is too early to predict the future, but I am just wondering. I hope that there are not too many bad ones.
Thanks

2007: HUMBERTO is the name the most scares me of any name currently in rotation. Oh my gosh that name gives me the creeps! Even if not in 2007, this name sounds downright scary. Jerry also sounds really scary.
2008: Actually, I'm not really terrified of any of the names on that list, but if I have to pick one, I say Josephine or Marco.
2009: Recently, I've been beginning to imagine a major hurricane named Ida, and if I still have that feeling by then, that will be one of my top picks. Along with Ida, Henri makes me leery. And as a word of caution with Ida, I had a similar vibe off of Ivan for 2004 shortly after the '98 season was done, and in 2003, I began imagining a hurricane named Rita in the GOM, and both were RIGHT.
2010: I am aware of its history, but I now have a very hairy vibe off of Hermine. I could see her being a bad one in 2010. I still wonder about Karl and Matthew someday too, Karl moreso.

What areas do you think you would see Humberto, Jerry, Josephine, Marco, Henri, Ida, Hermine, Karl and Matthew threatening?

Got no idea. Except Bill is definitely a Gommer.
I am just wondering, what does Gommer mean?
Thanks

Sorry I should've been clearer in the post. A storm that makes landfall somewhere along the Gulf Coast.

:scratches head: Okay... offer me a clue--it's not so obvious.
Icky Vicky is oh so sicky
-Fairly Oddparents (don't worry, I don't watch the show anymore)
I know, that's stereotyping, but Vicky just gives me the creeps.
Still without a clue, but I'll give you half of a bronze star for trying.

No, first I have to post my 2018 forecast numbers...
You're still working on 2018 numbers? I'm already working on my 2065 forecast numbers!
anywhere from 1-50 named storms
with 0-25 of them becoming hurricanes
0-10 major hurricanes
Greatest threat areas: The U.S. coast from Maine to Texas. All the Caribbean islands and Bermuda. Along with Central America and Mexico.
I hope I'm not going to far out on a limb here.

But see... I am a professional meteorologist. I have to better pin-point my numbers for accuracy. Otherwise, my customers and those who have gained respect from my advice will lose faith in me. Therefore, I bury myself in charts and formulas, trying to get the best numbers possible.
