If Florida Gets Hit In 2006, Which Area Is Most Vulnerable?

#1 Postby MiamiensisWx » Thu Feb 16, 2006 8:47 pm

I think southeast Florida is most vulnerable in Florida this year, and I say the odds of a major southeast Florida hit are increasing. I say the area from Hollywood to West Palm Beach will likely get a major hit.

NOTE - If you disagree with all the options, simply state otherwise which other area in Florida you think is most vulnerable.

You're missing much of the East Coast of Florida in the poll. Regardless, I believe West Palm Beach to Miami is vulnerable this year.

Most seem to be on the west coast. I am born and raised here and don't know some of those places. I voted Miami to Hollywood, but I believe the whole east coast is vulnerable.

I say if anywhere in Florida gets a hit, it will be the East Coast, especially SE. What with a possible Cape Verde season setting up and all.

I disagree with all options.......

Because my feeling is that a big one (either Helene or Joyce, probably Joyce) could hit somewhere just north of WPB. However, I can't pick that option because it's not listed in this poll. To be specific, I say somewhere near where Erin hit in 1995 (I believe Vero Beach), maybe a hair north of there.

I think if anyone in Fla gets hit it will be the Keys as they cross from the atlantic into the gulf.

Agreed, Ortt. That's why I picked Hollywood to West Palm Beach.

Although I don't think it's going to happen to me 3 years in a row.
How about adding West Palm Beach to Vero, majority of the FL east caost landfalling storms come in N of West Palm (Erin, Frances, Jeanne) and alot of the backdoor storms exit N of West Palm (Irene, Wilma).

Sorry, blown_away... the poll won't let me add any more options... that is why I could not include the other areas...
