#1 Postby windycity » Wed Jan 25, 2006 6:56 pm

lately iv noticed the warm water in the northern part of the gulf. Was wonderin cause water there is usually cool.I know temps arent everything but its important that people pay attention to wats goin on . So many people think the last two years wont happen again ,So warm northern gulf water is scarry. I have noticed it for weeks now and hope and pray it cools down before summer.

I am not sure how this will play out, but I don't want anything even close to a repeat of last year. Maybe we should get aqll gulf coast resisdents to start throwing ice cubes in there. (Hope no one takes that part seriously)

really!! I pray there arent any gulf hits this year, but its something ya have to watch. last year the pro mets were thinkin it was goin be a gulf year, and they were right. its kinda early, give it a month or two, then we all will have a feel for 06. personally,i think this will be a cape year,,....

Seems like Texas will have a threat either way this year. If it is a gulf year then we will have threats like Rita and Emily. If it is a Cape year, then we will have other threats like Bret in 99'. Plus I will be in Fl for chuncks of June, July and August at a House I have in Merritt Island...so if it is a cape year, then I may be in trouble there as well.

Well, I thought Texas would have a threat last year. But just look at this map. Everything seems to curve away from Texas - it's almost amusing...

Yeah, its been a long time since we saw any MAJOR action here worth mentioning....discounting Allison of course...If you look back at 04 through 05 I have noticed a more western trend....one reason I will cut my plywood and get my generator by May.....
