A Flash Tribute for the 2005 Hurricane Season

#1 Postby KatDaddy » Sat Dec 31, 2005 5:55 pm

What a season this has been for everyone. This is my tribute to the record 2005 Hurricane Season.

Select the following link for download:

http://savefile.com/projects/608619

Select the Download button in the Hurricane Season 2005 Flash Tribute banner image just below the Subscribe button.

Select the [Download the file now] link just above the bottom banner

Select Save when the File Download pop-up message is displayed.

Browse to a folder or your desktop to download the WinZip file.

Once the download has completed run Winzip to extract the two files into the same folder or your desktop.

Double click HurricaneSeason2005.html to start the movie.

You are very welcome. Being an evacuee for Rita out of Galveston County the photos bring it right back home everytime I watch the movie. I know many were extremely hard hit loosing everything. It has been a very tough season.

I got an error saying "Login incorrect" even though I was never asked for a user/pass, so to make it easier for some people (and for those who couldn't get it to work by clicking the above URL, like me), here's a URL containing the user and pass in itself that works right:

That was amazing, Brian! Thank you for sharing all of the pictures. It certainly brings it all back again-not that some of us could ever forget.

My only comment other than "excellent" is that the pictures (power point presentation) could have been slowed down some in order to view them all in greater detail. Nevertheless, it was very powerful.

Job well done. Happy New Year to you and yours! Thanks, again.

Thanks HurricaneQueen! Much appreciated. The timing was tough to decide. Glad you enjoyed it.

Floyd, Windows Media Player will not be able to play it since its a Flash Macromedia file. Once its downloaded you should be able to click the HTML file to start the movie.

You may need to download a Flash plug-in if you do not already have it. If its needed you will be prompted by the Browser.

At first I had a problem because I forgot to unzip the files because they didn't appear to be in .zip format. That may be causing some difficulties if you miss that step. The files looked as if they were already html files.

Hope that helps someone.

It saves to the desktop... used WinZip... when you try to open it it wants you to pick the approriate program to open it with, I tried Real Player and it came up with an error.
