Whelp...it took 23 days. 23 days...but finally all of the modem lights came on when I arrived home this evening and the internet is back at my fingertips.
I am sure glad there wasn't more damage than there was here...all of the power polls were destroyed and there was significant tree and some minor roof damage...but all in all...despite a stressful 12 days without power and another 11 beyond that without cable and internet...we are very fortunate here.
Just catching up on TD27...I had been peeking a little from work but it's hard to do much there. Looks to me there are 2 significant issues.
1. It may not even be a depression. We'll see tomorrow if the vertical shear lets up some.
2. If it survives it is going to make a sharp turn and get the heck out of the caribbean.
I am going to see if I can get some of the video I shot from my complex here up and running in the coming days...but overall things are getting back to normal.

Go Giants! Go Niners! Go Warriors!
Thanks for the nice words...yep it makes you think about how much you rely on power and cable and the internet etc when you don't have those things for a long, long time.
Looks like I missed all the action with Beta...and now Gamma is looking less likely...but that's fine with me.
Again glad to be back and good to see the discussion has continued...so what's the highest sustained measured in eastern FL? Is that in another thread? Man I have a lot of catching up to do...
