I think it was too hyped and flashy like a music video or something. Why did they have to make us dizzy with crooked camera angles. I much prefered the Discovery Channel's with satellite pix included. IMO you can't put this season into one hour, more like 3 hours long. The stories were better told on CNN than TWC's reporters who had a choice to be there in the first place. However, Cantore's story was the most frightening I've ever seen. I was looking for more scientific analysis but I guess you'll only find that here. I liked the graphic at the beginning with the names flowing out the spinning hurricane's eye. That in a nutshell is how crazy this season has been.

That bit was neat. I liked that too. I liked how they talked about TD10 along with Katrina, stuff I hadn't seen done much before...

You hit the nail on the head. First, while the MS stories got less attention than some of the events in New Orleans (in the media), I sitll think TWC could have covered the impacts on SE LA a little better. Second, they halfway covered each of the remaining major hurricanes that struck the U.S. Third, they totally ignored the rest of the Atlantic Basin that was hit just as bad. The first storm that comes to mind is Hurricane Stan. Finally, there was little to no scientific analysis as others have pointed out. Other than those problems it was pretty good for TWC standards.
