How many of us can go a week without storm2k

#1 Postby boca » Tue Nov 08, 2005 10:37 pm

After this huuricane season I find it difficult without checking in once a day especially after checking in 12 to 15 times a day for the last 5 months during the peak of season.

Same here.

I always have about 7 message boards that I go to in a particular order, with Storm2K being last. I know there's a good chance that I'll stay here the longest, so I save the best for last. :D

One time, last week... I went a full 8 hours without checking in at S2K. I had the shakes and cold sweats something fierce.

My counselor said "it's ok, but don't go cold turkey or you'll relapse and become a 15 to 30 minute refresh addict again".

I have had the most fun at S2K this season. From highly thought out and professional forecasts by Pro-Mets and seasoned trackers to the wild and baseless guesses of a few. There is nowhere else on the internet to see the cross section of humanity revealed in better detail than on the pages of S2K.

That should be how many can go a DAY without checking in!! LOL!! I love this place. The people are great. I am the one everyone at work comes to now during hurricane season and asks me "Any new storms?".

I play on the games forum every day in science research class in the computer lab. I got 5 other people to join the site just for the games. The games forum is becoming much more competitive.

Things are so quiet now! Keep checking the satilite images to think where the next system will be.... Been through 3 hurricanes in the last 12 months Frances, Jeanne and Wilma…..

So to get my "hurricane fix" am heading off to Indian Ocean to see a few Cyclones instead....just trying to find a message board and satellite information and general information so I can keep an eye on things from my Sri Lanka beach hut....! If you have any info please let me know!

So far, I've been without cable at home for around three weeks and STILL don't have Internet access and Storm2K! I am writing this right now from a publuc library that has service and working computers/Internet. I do, however, have power at home, thankfully... just not cable.

I went 2 weeks forced, no power for one week after Wilma, and no cable for another week. Then another couple weeks voluntarily after reading all the 'wilma was only a 80mph cat 1 over S. Fla. posts'.

Now I'm back for Gamma...........
