It will be interesting to watch. A forecast discussion by the NWS Melbourne office this afternoon talked about the GFS and how it has done fairly well with predicting tropical activity forming close to the Florida coast. We shall see.

Is that the area NHC is refering to from the 5:30pm TWO?

CLOUDINESS AND SHOWERS SEVERAL HUNDRED MILES NORTHEAST OF PUERTO
RICO ARE ASSOCIATED WITH A NON-TROPICAL LOW PRESSURE AREA. THIS
ACTIVITY IS EXPECTED TO MOVE WESTWARD WITH NO SIGNIFICANT
DEVELOPMENT DURING THE NEXT DAY OR TWO.

Miami forecast discussion also mentioned this earlier today:

"Mostly dry weather
expected for early to middle of next week...however this could
change if GFS solution of low pressure lingers near the central
Bahamas. "

the Melbourne office? So they did some forecasting while they were talking about the battle of the red team and blue team?

That was Birmingham, AL that did that. :P
