Spectacular Display of Lightning in Barbados

"Cumulonimbus clouds observed" in the Barbados weather summary at http://weather.noaa.gov/weather/current/TBPB.html doesn't even come close to describing the fireworks I've been enjoying for the past hour or so. The lightning has been coming fast and furious from practically every direction of the compass. It's been years since I've witnessed lightning like this. I'd be quite surprised if we don't get some heavy duty thunder later tonight.

Also of note, is the rather unusual wind directions Barbados has been experiencing lately. What's up with that? :?:

we had that about a week ago here - was nothing but a lightning storm - no rain - really really weird. But very spectacular!

As it turns out, that's pretty much what happened here too. There wasn't even any thunder (at least in my part of the island). Actually the sky show totally ceased about an hour after my post above.
