It does looks slightly better and while I think nothing is imminent there in the next 24 hours or so I don't think that you can necessarily use the NHC as a single source for whether something will develop or not. They seem to ere on the side of caution on something that might develop but probably won't.

Amen... you can't always rely on the NHC... you can foecast your own by looking at the data, and your forecast may be right rather than the NHC! So, if the NHC says it's not going to develop, you don't have to believe that...

The NHC tropical outlook is a good guidance, but you can't depend on it 100% as with any product from anyone because no one is perfect all the time.
