Let's all take a DEEP BREATH, give each other a hug, and digest all of this overwhelming information BEFORE posting anymore. This is a LOT of information to handle all of a sudden, and we need to make sure we fully understand and that we don't freak out! I love you guys! *hugs*

It's absolutely frightening. I have family in danger from this storm, but thankfully they aren't in the most serious jeopardy.

Please, I implore anyone in low-lying areas near water and anywhere within 15-25 miles of the coast, get out. Your life is more important than anything else. That's at least anyone between Corpus Christi and Beaumont. For those of you who know you are where I'm talking about, for God's sake get out. Save your life.

They tried that in New Orleans... hopefully the folks in Texas will listen a little better. Seems interesting, since a lot of the evacuees from New Orleans are in the area targeted by Rita... wonder if they'll listen this time.....

Yes, agreed. This is an incredible and frightening event. I pray all those in her path are safe wherever they are. Along those lines: Does anyone know if Southerngale decided to evacuate? I know she was deliberating but cannot find a post about her decision. I am so worried about all you Texas/Louisiana folks. Hugs to you all!
