I can't make or receive calls on my cell phone here (near Beaumont). Getting the same information from people in Beaumont, Houston and College Station. If you plan on evacuating, it will probably be a good idea to go over your routes with everyone travelling in your group BEFORE you leave.
Good luck to all!

There are just too many people using them at the same time, especially along the major evacuation routes...many towers will be at capacity with all those people on the roads. Best thing to do is to hang up and keep trying if the call is that important otherwise try not to use the phone too much. Most important keep the phone charged at all times. Once most of the rush of evacuations slow down.....the usage should go down.
