I got this message from my friend:

My oldest granddaughter, Ashley, is at Texas A and M at College station. She is only 17, studying to be an oceonographer. Bryan is above Houstan which is above Galveston....is that area in any danger???

Please let me know so I can let her know, thanks!!!!

They're setting up shelters for coastal evacuees in Bryan/College Station so I don't think she has much to worry about.

In danger from tornadoes, damaging winds and flooding rains, yes.

Expect widespread power outages...

From the 5am forecast... that is Waco, Texas with 60 mph sustained winds...
